The Piedmont Triad Women Attorneys are hosting a CLE this Friday, November 15th entitled “Emerging Ethics” and presented by Lawyer’s Mutual. Topics will
include:
- An overview of NC State Bar and quarterly results,
- New and pending NC State Bar ethics opinions,
- An update on technology, advertising, and social media ethics opinions, and
- An update on how and when to disclose potential malpractice to a client.
- Discussion of recent case law, ethics opinions and hypotheticals
The CLE will be held at Carruthers & Roth, P.A. (235 N. Edgeworth St.) from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Lunch will be provided. The cost is $10 for law students and PTWA members and $20 for non-members. CLE approval is pending for 1 hour of Ethics credit.
Greensboro Bar Association November Lunch Meeting - Student RSVPs needed
Each month, the Greensboro Bar Association invites five student members to join in the membership meeting. In November, the GBA will host a lunch meeting on Thursday, November 21 from 12:15 - 1:40 p.m. at the Greensboro Country Club (410 Sunsent Dr.). The featured speaker will be Ms.
Chris Mumma, Executive Director of the NC Center on Actual Innocence. Please note: this month's GBA meeting conflicts with the SBA Thanksgiving Potluck here at Elon Law. The first five students to email Ms. Mencarini (jmencarini2@elon.edu) by Friday, November 15 at noon will have a reserved spot for the November meeting. If you are able to get a spot for this meeting, you must attend.
